Clash at the valley of the end, who really won? Naruto or Sasuke?

Our group was having a discussion the other day about who really won when Naruto and Sasuke were having a fight at the valley of the end. Obviously, Sasuke won since Naruto was lying unconscious on the ground after the fight. But did it ever cross your mind that maybe Naruto really did not want to hurt Sasuke? I mean, before exchanging final blows, Sasuke said that Naruto will not even be able to scratch his head protector. I think Naruto only wanted to prove Sasuke wrong that is why he aimed at Sasuke's head protector instead of his body. If Naruto's final blow connected, Sasuke would have surely died. Naruto survived the Sasuke's final blow thus he could have been the victor.
