My friend runs out of luck

Last Monday, my friend went to my place to get his crocs (shoes for chefs) that he lent me a few weeks ago. When he arrived at my place, I immediately gave him his crocs because it was already late and i knew that the next day was the start of his ojt. After a quick conversation, he asked me to accompany him while waiting for a taxi. But that was not his motive after all. He wanted me to check if his ex-girlfriend was still in front of the bakery near my place. He accidentally saw his ex on his way to my place. I took a peek at the bakery and I saw her ex standing in front of the bakery waiting for him. We decided to make a quick turn to the left to avoid his ex who was almost stalking him, in hope of a reconciliation. We thought everything was fine until she spotted and approached us. She told my friend, "Hoy usap tau"(Hey, let's talk). My friend did not answer. His ex got a little mad and said "Hoy, ayaw mo ako kausap?"(Hey, don't you wanna talk to me?). He just remained silent. After getting no reply from him, his ex decided to leave. My friend was relieved. He did not want to talk to his ex anymore. She was the cause of all the heartaches and pains he felt. His ex did a lot of bad things to him and was also childish. He vowed not to talk to her anymore. Before riding a taxi, he told me that his current girlfriend was confined in a hospital due to heart problems. He was not feeling alright because he wants to be with his girlfriend while she is being confined but he has to start his ojt the next day.
