The difference between Baking and Roasting

A lot of people say baking is different from roasting. Some say there is no difference between the two.

I have been studying culinary arts for a while now and graduation is near. I've asked chefs about this but when they answered my question, I felt they were unsure with their answers so I researched on my own. I found out that there were a lot of definitions for these two terms.

To sum it all up, baking is applied to breads, pastries and sweets. Roasting is done if it's meat and if there is a rotation included in cooking the meat.
